Then option clicking on a different audio track, would solo the audio track that I had previously solo'd. Option clicking solo on some audio tracks would activate the solo buttons of my midi tracks. I did try option clicking on tracks to see if I could undo this. I hate to post this sort of desperate plea for help, but this really threw me into a state. So the thought of rebuilding this project from scratch has me fuming.

I'm working on a remix for someone else, and my free time is currently taxed. Not enough users have the issue for Apple to even put it on a list somewhere.ДЄnyway - is there anyone who has experienced this who can tell me how they got out of it? My only instinct right now is to copy every single track onto new tracks, and duplicate all the channel strip settings - that will take me a few days, after which I might just pitch Logic into Lake Ontario and if it sinks - that proves it's a witch. If they can't fix it in three upgrades, I have no faith it will ever be put to rest. This sort of outright bug is not a result of user error - and it's clearly something that has been worming it's way through Logic since L7. I know others have had mute/solo bugs in Logic 9, so I thought I was safe by not upgrading, and I sure as hell won't pour more money into Apple's pockets. Restarting my computer had no effect - the project is still stuck in permanent solo mode. It's permanently stuck on solo, but no solo lights are lit, no tracks are muted.

After recording, I solo'd a different track, and I think muted a duplicate track - I'm not sure of the exact order, but the result is that now no tracks will play except one midi track. I was soloing an external midi track so that I could record the incoming audio without any other gear getting recorded. I now have installed Logic 8 on a new i7 imac, which has Snow Leopard, and it's much buggier than I'm used to. It didn't happen often and a variety of things led to the bug, not just one. Sometimes moving them to new tracks worked, sometimes toggling mute on and off worked, nothing was consistent.

They all revolved around some variant of a region becoming permanently muted, or a whole track getting stuck with all regions muted. I used to occasionally get strange bugs in Logic 8 on my macbook pro running 10.4.11.
